GL events South Africa is seeking a dynamic Senior Account Executive
Our well-established national exhibition and events infrastructure services company is looking for an enthusiastic and driven account executive to be based in Briardene, Durban.
The Account Executive will actively promote, source, initiate and close account agreements with targeted nationwide businesses.
GL events is a global market leader within the events industry through three core activities: services for trade fairs, conventions and events; venue management and exhibition management. Present in 20 countries, listed on the Paris Stock Exchange, GL events employs 4,000 people and has recorded sales of 942M€ in 2015.

> Initiate and develop professional relationships with top-level decision-makers to sell company products and services.
> Develop and execute the sales strategy.
> Prepare and conduct formal sales presentations.
> Manage customer expectations to ensure successful outcomes.
> Ensure customer satisfaction by performing post-sales requirements and by proactively addressing needs and requirements of the client.
> Gather and analyse intelligence on competitive activity in the industry, and implement plans and strategies to deal and effectively counter these activities where possible.
> Make recommendations and implement strategies to increase penetration into the account base.
> Ensure continued growth of existing key accounts.
> Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with company standards.
> Other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned to ensure successful managing of all accounts and new potential clients
Develop client portfolios
> Identify prospects with regard to specific targets
> Propose, organise and implement marketing activities
> Monitor commercial reports identified in collaboration with managers
> Qualify the client base
> Propose, organise and implement prospective marketing activities to develop and maintain your portfolio and to attract business
Follow-up on technical and commercial aspects of confirmed projects:
> Ensure project tracking
> Check equipment availability and technical constraints with operations team
> Ensure compliance with safety regulations
> Act as an interface for clients until delivery and payment
> Propose alternatives solutions if problems occur during delivery
> Monitor billing and client payments
> Work with clients in cases of litigation
> Establish and monitor sales reporting
> A marketing/sales qualification
> Must be able to cost and have mathematical proficiency
> Minimum three years’ experience in the exhibition, events or advertising industry.
> Track record of strong performance against sales goals and objectives
> Valid drivers licence
> Working knowledge of MS Office
